There are 59km of trail to explore, consisting of a main 41km loop, and a spur line which goes from Mount Helena, passing through the settlement of Chidlow to Wooroloo.

Explore the whole trail in a day, or sections at a time and visit the heritage listed pubs to enjoy cold drink and bite to eat.

If pubs are not your thing, there are also a number of cafés and other attractions to explore along the way.

Ride the Pedal & Pint Trail

Using the main loop of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, the Pedal and Pint Trail is a spectacular circular trail which retraces 41km of the old Eastern Railway. Passing through reserves you’ll discover the individual history, story and character of the settlements that sprung up alongside the line.

What makes this trail unique is the number of old taverns, once watering holes for weary rail passengers and settlement workers, each with its own stories, character, and charm! Stop off to refuel along the way and enjoy some Perth Hills hospitality while you explore the trail by bike.

Stay, Play & Cafe in the Perth Hills

Stop and enjoy lunch, a snack, some refreshments or a full three course meal at one or more of the historic watering holes or cafes on the trail. Explore the trails and soak in the best of the Perth Hills hospitality in comfortable beer gardens, historic pub dining rooms and welcoming cafés.
